Why should you get involved
with COGS?
- Shape your school and the university.
- Improve the quality of life on campus.
- Be a voice for others.
- Help ensure that you and others feel involved on campus.
Getting involved
is easy, but it takes a desire to serve and a passion to
work hard. You can expect mandatory events every
semester. Also, some positions require
multiple meetings per week.
Prayerfully consider the
impact of time on other responsibilities which you have
and if it is something that God wishes you to do at this
time.
Each
school has two senators, two representatives, and one chaplain. Every
member of COGS serves not only their school,
but also participates in university committees and events. Senators
are responsible for attending weekly senate meetings and
providing direction and events for their school. Representatives
are responsible for assisting senators by helping to ensure
that events run smoothly and are effectively promoted. The
chaplain leads over the spiritual aspect of COGS by leading
a weekly chapel or prayer meeting for their school as well
as participating with the COGS University Spiritual Committee.
